The Womp Summer Party is an outdoor music festival that showcases electronic music artists from West Canada. It started as a little friends' gathering and it grew into a bigger event very rapidly.
The Womp needed a brand that could be the umbrella for all the activities happening during the weekend, and that could embody 3 main things: fun with friends, warm summer times, and a big love for nature. Some initial content was developed for different social media networks.
It all started as a word of mouth type of event on its first two years, but the third version required more hands on marketing as its promotion went out publicly. So, to sell tickets and engage volunteers, a few online campaigns were developed.
With all the online buzz happening, The Womp needed a website to centralize information, link tickets, and open applications for artists, media, and volunteers.
During the weeks before the event, the artist line up needed to be released to increase momentum on ticket sales and excitement among ticket buyers. In order to create buzz and anticipation the lineup for each stage was slowly revealed.
Once the full artist line-up was disclosed, a customized branded profile picture for each artist was developed.
To maintain the buzz, a few online parties where promoted and streamed on Twitch.tv, and a few tickets were given away to loyal fans.
